Director of Music
It is usual for parents to ask about my learning experience in music. My journey began at age 11 in a small music store in Morwell. I wasn’t a natural, but through persistence and passion, I developed my skills and went on to study at the Melba Conservatorium, followed by LaTrobe University and Monash University, where I completed a Master’s in Music Education. At 23, I was diagnosed with cancer. During treatment, I made a promise: if given the chance to survive and one day have children, I would dedicate my life to sharing the gift of music with others. In 2007, I fulfilled that promise by founding my music school.
A year later, I launched the Mozartini Orchestra—hailed by the *Sunday Herald* as “Australia’s Youngest Known Children’s Orchestra.” It was my way of giving back and creating a space where every child could experience the joy and lifelong benefits of music. Today, as a teacher and father, I continue to pass on that passion to my children and to every student who walks through our doors. I hope that by retelling my story, I can inspire others and share my love for learning and teaching music. I invite you to become part of my dream.
